We’ve Missed You!

Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a while and everyone is tired of the wait (trust me, I know) but things are just about back normal around here. Actually, we think things have changed for the better so sit back and let me guide you through what’s different.

First, for those of you who are VIPs already, you will have an extra month added to your original subscription date to make up for the month we’ve been away. If you are paid already, you will still need to sign up. You will click the sign up link on the left side of the page and fill out all the required information. NOW, and this is important…you will be taken to a Paypal log in page. DO NOT go any further. You DO NOT have to pay again. One of your mods will activate your membership manually and add the extra month for you. The beauty of this is, you manage all your own information and may change it at any time.

Now, if you were a free member before, you do not have to sign in this way…YET. There will come a time where free members will sign in as well, we just aren’t there yet.

If you aren’t a member of the Monkey Land Forums, go ahead and join, they’re up and ready to go. You will also find some answers to any questions you may have there.

We have a brand new gallery, where our VIPs can join and upload their own monkey photos as well as view others and leave comments!

There are fun contests in the works with some great prizes!

Those of you who have had a birthday pass and are a paid VIP…don’t worry! If you joined and paid before your birthday you will get a birthday surprise…we didn’t forget about you. Also, everyone who paid is waiting on their free gift…that is on the way as well. So, we haven’t forgotten at all!

Website Launch!

We have exciting news!

Friday, May 29th, 2009 at 9AM EST will be the grand opening of the website! The site will be closed from Thursday until that time.

From then on, we will be taking memberships, and you will be able to sign up as a V.I.P! However, not all of it is finished, we are still finalizing everything for V.I.P members. There are still some unfinished pages but those won’t stay that way! As time goes on the site will grow and evolve as the band does.

If you choose to become a Very Important Primate, you will be sent a paypal request on Monday, May 25th or after depending on the volume of memberships received. As always, please contact us if you have any problems and we will get back to you asap.

If you are signing up from the U.K, your special Monkey gift will be coming from Vicky, or in the US, Nikki is your girl! But, we ask that you please be patient as we we work out all the bugs that are bound to appear!

On behalf of Vicky and myself…we appreciate all the love and support from the members. It’s been a long road but we’re almost there. Just when we all thought we were going to get some sleep! The guys are excited, we’re excited…let’s travel this road as one big, happy monkey family!

We hope that you will join us on Friday, and again, we are so excited to have you all on board!

News!

Afternoon 100 Monkeys Fans!

Long time no blog huh?

Hey, Nikki here. I’m stopping in with some site updates, special news and thank yous. I won’t be long, I promise. First order of business, Vicky, Wanda and I want to wish Ben J a very happy birthday from all of us…hope it’s a good one.

Site Updates: We have started construction on Jerad’s page, having received all the info we need. Thank you Jerad, you crack us up and we know you’re busy…so thanks again. Our goal is to have the entire site up and running by the beginning of summer. It seems like such a long time and we are excited as all of you but we simply can’t collect memberships without having something completed to offer you all. It is getting there!

The monkeys have been on the site and they love it!

I want to take this time to thank everyone who has left a message in the guestbook…those do get read or have been read. Everyone has been so supportive of us thus far and we appreciate it. The forum has proved to be a useful tool for us to get to know one another! It’s not gone unnoticed that we are in need of a chat room. I am currently looking into this and will keep you all updated on that. I think a chat room would be an excellent addition to the site!

The mods would like to remind everyone to please read the rules and keep them in mind though. The first week we were live it was a bit of a free for all but at this point in time the board is monitered heavily. Please know that we only do this for the sake of Jackson, Jerad, Ben G and Ben J…in order to save their privacy on certain issues and to make sure rumors aren’t started. It’s nothing personal if a mod PM’s you, it really isn’t.

So, on to some lighter news…With all the East Coast shows coming up you’ll have the chance to meet a few of your MonkeyMods and while I know we are no monkeys, we want to hear what you want in a fan club and it’s just nice to meet people face to face. I will be at every show…Wanda will be attending both shows on May17th and Chelle will be at both shows on the 23rd. If you see us, come on over and say hi!

Thank you to all the people who have joined the forums…we’re close to 200 active members and we are pushing 4,000 hits on the main page. It’s only going to get better (and busier) but to all of you from all of us…deepest thanks.
